TRADITIONAL HAND CRAFTED NATIVE AMERICAN JEWELRY
All items are made with real bone, horn, leather, sinew, glass beads, wood beads, and semi-precious stone. Adornments to them are made with real fur, antlers, abalone shell, and or claws and teeth. Sometimes metal beads are used. I usually use spent cartridge shells that I've antiqued to attach such things as the ermine tails. Chokers can be made in 2, 3, 4 and even 5 rows. Although I have yet to make a breast plate for anyone....I can do so if someone is looking to acquire one. Below are pictures of some of the jewelry I make. The designs of the items are not limited to just the designs pictured here. Because I use natural materials...the color choice of the bone or horn is limited to what nature provides. However I do antique the bone to varying shades as you can see in the pictures. A variety of claws can be used to adorn these chokers....please contact me if you have any specific claw you'd like used. The tails I pretty much stick with ermine...however any of the smaller weasel family tails can be used. Teeth can be used also...although I find the claws are more attractive than the teeth. You will not find any plastics or unnatural pieces in these pieces. The only time I will use something that is not real is if the animal is an endangered species such as using imitation Eagle, Hawk or Wolf, Grizzly claws. All items will come with a small booklet explaining the meaning behind the animals and the semi-precious stones that are used to make them.
