Erin Lay...a very talented artist...contacted me early in 2009 asking for
permission to paint a Model Horse with Sir Orrick's markings. She recently
finished her model horse marked like Sir Orrick to show in Model Horse Shows.
This Model Horse that's been created to look like Sir Orrick is known as a
"MicroMini" and this particular one stands about 1 1/4 inches tall.
Erin did some customizing to the model (added feathering and a new tail!) so
there is no other model out there that looks like this one, even apart from the
paintjob!
Below there's a photo (among the other photos) included as a size reference
photo for fun.
Erin painted him with both acrylics and pastels and used multiple different
colors on his eyes so they look realistic (easier to see in person). The acrylics
were for details while the pastels were for the main body color and shading.

It is always such an honor to have a model horse painted with Sir Orrick's
markings! I'm so impressed with Erin's talent and the incredibly beautiful job
she did on this particular model...considering it's "mini" size!!! Brilliant details!
Erin just recently updated me about the beautiful model horse she created to look
like Sir Orrick.
Erin has been showing him as "Chivalrous Knight" and he just completed his
first show in 2009 with great success! He placed first in Customized Draft Breed
Halter and second in Customized Stallion Halter. Erin's expecting him to
continue to do very well.
