Carrigan's Hi Adventure (otherwise affectionately know as C.C.)
is a full blood Registered American Saddlebred.  When I began
my search for an American Saddlebred mare for my Georgian
Grande breeding program... I was searching for a breeding age,
black and white pinto colored mare with hopes of being able to
breed her with Chivalry's Sir Orrick for a Georgian Grande foal as
soon as I found the right mare.  I fully expected to end up spending
a year or more in my search for the "perfect" mare for my breeding
program , for it took me 2 1/2 years to find the Herd Sire I wanted.
The market had plenty of breeding age Reg. Saddlebred mares for
sale but none that came close to the quality and color I wanted.
As fate would have it...I had been seriously searching for around
5 months when I happened upon an advertisement for a yearling
filly named  Carrigan's Hi Adventure.
She was everything I was looking for in a mare with the exception
of one thing...she was only a year and a half and not breeding age.
She had ALL the qualities I was searching for in a mare. I made
the decision that waiting the years before I would breed her would
be more than worth it...for her quality and color was EXACTLY
what I was looking for.  When you find a horse that fulfills your
"wish list" you don't really want to pass it up just to get a horse
of lesser quality so you can get foals on the ground quicker.
I spent a good month talking with the breeder / owner of C.C.
We had just acquired our new facility, were moving in and had
just started building paddocks and adding more stalls for the
horses we had.  I was in the middle of going into partnerships with
a Clydesdale mare and wasn't sure if I'd have the room immediately
for another mare. There were other seriously interested buyers
for C.C. at that time also. Needless to say...finding my "perfect"
Saddlebred couldn't have come at a more inopportune time and I
thought that things would not work out for me to purchase her.
However... Fate and  "gut feelings" on both my side and the
owner / breeder's side helped  and C.C. (Carrigan's Hi Adventure)
made the long trip from Arizona to Vermont to live with us.
Through the many conversations I had with C.C.'s owner / breeder,
I knew she was a very well breed, intelligent, willing, very loving,
docile horse with  a lot of training already "under her belt" at her
young age.  However, all the talk in the world couldn't have
prepared me for how C.C. is in person.   She literally blew us away
with her beauty and presence when she first arrived and continues
to do so as each day goes by with her intelligence, athletic ability
and willingness.  She is extremely inquisitive, overtly tractable and
brave and just adores people.
C.C. (Carrigan's Hi Adventure) has an incredible pedigree of the
older foundation lines that include : CH Wing Commander,
Society Rex (Denmark blood of Rex McDonald and Highland
Denmark),  Status Symbol, CH Valley View Supreme, Lady Carrigan,
Raven Wing,  and several other great horses like Carey's Night of
Love, Moonlight Hy-Color on Cue.  She possesses a positive (DAP)
trot, a beautiful extended trot , already knows three gaits and responds
to voice commands at liberty.  She has great conformation, great feet,
and will be tested soon to see if she is homozygous for both the
tobiano and black gene.
We are excited with her and looking forward to an extremely bright
future with her both in riding disciplines and as a brood mare. She
will be bred for producing high quality Georgian Grande foals and
impeccable Saddlebred foals.

I don't  think I could ever find the right words to express my gratitude
to Cheryl Black (breeder of C.C.)
You bred such an amazing horse and raised her with such love and
compassion. Thank you  for putting in all the hours of
knowledgeable training that were obviously put into her.  But most
of all thank you for caring so much about her and taking all the time
you did to ensure that she went to a home that would continue to
love and care for her as you did.  Thank you so very much for
allowing  C.C. to come live with us and touch our lives with her
greatness.  It is truly an Honor to be a part of C.C.'s life now and
to know you. People ( especially breeders ) like you are so far
and few between.   Thank you so very much for parting with C.C.
and letting her come to us to be a part of our family.
